Incepand din Ianuarie 2013 echipa valve a lucrat intens la niste update-uri privind atat partea de server cat si cea de client.
Amintim doar cateva:
- Under Linux we have moved forward to GCC 4.6 (from 2.95, heh) and are using a newer OS toolchain
- Fixed rotating objects stopping after some period in a map
- Fixed potential upload exploit that let a client put a new file on your server (they could not touch/replace existing files)
- Fixed respawn bug in CS 1.6 if you died from drowning
- Fixed failing to launch on old OS distributions (I am looking at you FreeBSD emu layer)
- Fixed flashbang causing mp_fadetoblack to be ignored
- Fixed hltv failing to launch
- Fixed several server crashes due to bogus player pointers around connect/disconnect.
- Fixed hltv being unable to record demos under Linux
- Fixed dedicated servers listing as a listen server
- Partially fixed hltv listing on the master servers (you need a client update plus we need to do a server update to totally fix this)
- Fixed hltv demos being corrupted
- Fixed downloading of custom sprays from users
- Increased max rate to 100k (sv_min/maxrate still apply and defaults for them are unchanged)
- Changed timing function to call clock_gettime(), this should cause more stable frame rates
- Enabled utf8 chat for say and say_team commands
- Don't create a SAVE/ folder on server launch
Noul build HLDS lansat oficial ieri :
Exe version 1.1.2.7 (cstrike)

Cum se instaleaza noua versiune de HLDS ?
*hldsupdatetool.exe/bin este acum outdated
Windows:
- creati pe Desktop un folder "steamcmd"
- descarcati You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view. in folderul "steamcmd"
- dezarhivati steamcmd_win32.zip
- deschideti un Command Prompt si mergeti spre locatia folderului "steamcmd" de pe desktop ( ex : cd Desktop/user/steamcmd ... )
- tastati in cmd : steamcmd
- tastati in cmd : login [userul tau de steam] [parola ta de steam] ( ex : login saintjimmy parola123 )
- tastati in cmd : app_update 90 validate
Linux:
- tastati in terminal : cd /home && mkdir steamcmd && wget You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.
- tastati in terminal : tar zxf steamcmd_linux.tar.gz && ./steamcmd.sh
- tastati in terminal : login [userul tau de steam] [parola ta de steam] ( ex : login saintjimmy parola123 )
- tastati in terminal : app_update 90 validate
De asemenea, clientul Counter-Strike 1.6 a suferit si el un update major.
- converted both games to using new Steampipe content system
- numerous exploit fixes
- CS 1.6 game play fixes
- upgraded GCC version for Linux build to improve performance and stability
Fara prea multa vorba, concluziile sunt :
1. Nu veti putea instala un server HLDS decat daca nu aveti un cont de steam
2. Comanda "Connect" a fost scoasa din engine. Pluginuri de genul simple_redirect.amxx nu mai functioneaza. Cand vei incerca sa intrii pe un redirect nu vei mai ajunge la serverul destinatie, ci direct pe serverul redirect impreuna cu botii !
3. In Counter-Strike, la Internet Servers, botii nu mai sunt contorizati !!! Chiar daca ai 20 de boti pe un redirect de 22 sloturi, el va aparea in mastere cu 0/22 !
4. Resursele ( maps/models/sprites ) ale unui server redirect trebuie sa fie cele originale din noul hlds, altfel vi primi erori cand incerci sa te conectezi pe redirect ( Your map [maps/de_dust2.bsp] differs from the server's )
5. Dproto nu mai functioneaza cu ultimul build HLDS, nu se va mai putea crea un server tip 47+48 !
Vom revenii cu noi detalii pe parcurs.
Momentan redirectele clasice CXHLDS nu se mai conecteaza in masterservere iar un eventual update la engine ar duce la cele mentionate mai sus.

Asteptam de ceva timp sa se intample asta. In ultimele luni totul a scazut dramatic, redirecte, dropuri, etc. Poate ca intr-un fel e mai bine asa.

ar fi bine sa nu mai mergea pe nici un server cs non-steam.. da cand o sa inceapa asta?
